FML (Forward Moving Lug)
Install AK “style”/duckbill-less magazines quickly without having to locate and land the forward lug before rocking the magazine back into its locking position. Install straight in, remove straight out.
By AK “style”/duckbill-less mags, we mean an SKS detachable mag that has a small lug on the fore and aft of the magazine body close to the top of the mag, also known as duckbill-less and easy mag magazines. In other words, an SKS detachable “duckbill” mag that has had the duckbill removed in a prescribed manner, in order to operate with forward moving lugs, is what we mean by an AK “style”/duckbill-less mag.
When our FML is installed in a SGWorks SKS Bullpup Stock Kit equipped with our Extended Mag Release and Extended Lever, you can easily & quickly remove partially loaded magazines from your SKS, when necessary. (When removing partially loaded mags from SKS rifle configurations utilizing only a forward lug release lever, the tip of the top bullet or two in the magazine will jam against the fore wall of the SKS magazine well).
The SGWorks FML is custom made to easily install into the Main Housing chassis of our SGWorks SKS Bullpup Stock Kit. The SGWorks FML is capable of being micro adjusted to operate with any SKS installed in our SKS Bullpup Stock Kit utilizing AK “style” SKS mags.
Please note, AK mags do not fit any standard SKS mag-well, including this platform.
